The International Group from BCA visited the Debating Chamber of Bath Council. The students were able to sit in the Chairperson's seat and instead of keeping order decided to put the world to right and change Council's view. Altruisticly Vinnie and Darci said ' I think we want peace in the World'
Zach said ' I think we should have sweets for everyone'!
This is the blog of BCA's International Group, who are involved in a Comenius Project with a school in Istanbul Turkey, and a school in Marina di Massa Italy. The Project will promote understanding and tolerance across Europe through holistic activities. This blog will chart those activities. The blog is live between September 2013 and July 2015.

We went to the mayors parlour and the teachers from all 3 Comenius countries were invited to sign the book. There are lots of famous people who have signed it including Winston Churchill and the Queen a few times.

We played Volleyball, went Ice skating, visited Stour Head and Stonehenge. We had a great time drinking hot chocolate and learning about the History that place has. We also went to Town, had a Bake off and played a football match. (Italy won!)

Tolerance in Guernsey
There are a lot of museums on Guernsey that cover the occupation during the War with some fascinating stories. Stories of love and romance, and the barriers that existed during the War. Tolerance seen there when the HMS Charybdis was hit and 19 seamen were washed ashore and lost their lives. The Occupying Germans had a funeral service and gave the seamen a full military send off.
Film Making in Guernsey
Trying to run a story together about Tolerance, we pushed the boundries far and wide and ended the story, which started in Bath, in Guernsey. We will show the finished film at the Comenius meeting in October in Bath.

Sending presents to Romanian Orphanages
Our group decided before Christmas that is would be good to respond to the Rotary Club of Bath's Appeal to give a shoe box full of items for a child. The Rotary Club send a lorry over twice a year, stacked with shoe boxes full of toys and toiletries and items suitable for a boy/girl of a certain age.
These were the photos we had taken to put in the boxes to show who had stocked them.
